Pushpa 2: The Rule is an anticipated Indian Telugu-language action drama film directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers in collaboration with Sukumar Writings. The film features Allu Arjun in the lead role, supported by Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj. This film serves as the second chapter in the Pushpa series and follows the 2021 release, Pushpa: The Rise.

The announcement for the sequel was made shortly before the premiere of the original film in December 2021, initially titled Pushpa 2, with the subtitle Pushpa 2: The Rule revealed in August 2022. Approximately 10% of the film’s footage was filmed concurrently with the original. However, Sukumar opted to revise the storyline, resulting in the commencement of principal photography in October 2022. The film features a score by Devi Sri Prasad, cinematography by Mirosław Kuba Brożek, and editing by Naveen Nooli. With a production budget estimated between ₹400–500 crore, it ranks among the most expensive films in Indian cinema.

Pushpa 2 Cast

Allu Arjun portrays the character of Pushpa Raj. Rashmika Mandanna takes on the role of Srivalli, who is Pushpa’s wife. Fahadh Faasil plays the part of SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, an IPS officer. Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari is cast as Kesava “Mondelu,” a close friend of Pushpa. Jagapathi Babu appears as Kogatam Veera Pratap. Prakash Raj is also featured in the film. Sunil plays the character of Mangalam Srinu, while Anasuya Bharadwaj portrays Dakshayani, the wife of Mangalam Srinu.

Rao Ramesh takes on the role of MP Bhumireddy Siddappa Naidu. Ajay Ghosh is cast as Konda Reddy, and Dhananjaya plays Jaali Reddy. Shanmukh appears as Jakka Reddy, with Satya and Tarak Ponnappa also in the cast. Ajay plays Molleti Mohan Raj, the elder half-brother of Pushpa, and Sritej portrays Molleti Dharma Raj, Pushpa’s second elder half-brother. Pavani Karanam plays the role of Pushpa’s niece and Mohan’s daughter.

Saurabh Sachdeva is included in the cast, along with Mime Gopi as Chennai Murugan. Brahmaji plays Sub-Inspector Kupparaj, while Kalpalatha takes on the role of Parvatamma, Pushpa’s mother. Dayanand Reddy portrays Muniratnam, Srivalli’s father. Sreeleela makes a guest appearance in the item number “Kiseeku.”
